PS1’s earnings crossed 400 crores in 10 days, Godfather also scored a century, The Ghost disappeared like a ghost

The magic of Mani Ratnam’s period drama film ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ continues even after the second weekend at the box office. The film starring Chiyan Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karti, Jayam Ravi and Trisha has earned a bumper of Rs 401 crore worldwide in 10 days. Not only this, even on the 10th day, this film has earned more than any film on the ticket window. PS1 did a business of Rs 15.95 crore across the country on Sunday. Whereas Megastar Chiranjeevi’s originally made in Telugu film ‘Godfather’ has collected Rs 9.4 crore nett on Day 5 in its first weekend. Both these films are getting tough competition from Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan’s Vikram Vedha. On Sunday, ‘Vikram Vedha’ has collected Rs 10.75 crore. Whereas the condition of Nagarjuna’s Telugu film ‘The Ghost’ is very bad. The film has done a business of just Rs 80 lakh on the first Sunday.

Ponniyin Selvan, based on the story of the Chola dynasty, is slated to release on 30 September. The film did a business of Rs 34 crore on the opening day. After 10 days, now the total earning of this film is Rs 216.35 crore in the country. Out of this, the Tamil version has earned the highest amount of Rs 176.95 crore. There has been a slight decline in the Telugu film business due to the release of Godfather. Despite this, it has earned Rs 14.35 crore from the Telugu version in 10 days. Whereas despite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the film is not doing very well in the Hindi version at the box office. The Hindi version has collected Rs 18.70 crore in 10 days. Has made a gross collection of Rs 401 crore in days. While the gross collection of the film in the country is Rs 253.80 crore, in foreign countries, the film has collected Rs 147.20 crore till Sunday. On Sunday too, there was a huge crowd of audience for this film in cinemas. The audience occupancy in the Tamil version was 70.20 percent on Sunday.

On the other hand, Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan starrer ‘Godfather’ has benefited from an extended weekend of five days. On the 5th day, the film has made a net collection of Rs 9.4 crore across the country. Out of this, the Telugu version has earned the highest amount of Rs 7.85 crore, while the Hindi version has earned Rs 1.55 crore. The film has scored its first century in 5 days in terms of worldwide earnings. Till Sunday, the film has collected Rs 125.97 crore worldwide. The film’s net collection in the country is Rs 60.28 crore in five days.

Box Office Collection of The Ghost Apart from these two films, the condition of Nagarjuna’s film ‘The Ghost’ is very bad. The film has collected just Rs 7.15 crore in its first weekend in five days. The film earned just Rs 80 lakh on Sunday. The film, which released along with ‘Godfather’, did a business of just Rs 3.5 crore even on the opening day. Even in the Telugu version, the audience is not getting this film. Despite the holiday on Sunday, only 18 out of 100 seats were seen in cinema halls.
